Volunteers

It’s your opportunity to make a difference!

You can now register and apply to become a member of the Champion Crew helping the Women’s Champions Trophy event to be a success next year and provide a launch pad for hockey at London 2012.

We are looking for around 250 volunteers to help England Hockey and our partners deliver an event in which we can all take great pride.  This will be an exciting, rewarding and enjoyable experience as we make sure the teams, officials, spectators and all those involved have a great event and go home with lasting memories.

Vicky Wright, a EuroCrew volunteer with Jess the mascot at the 2007 EuroHockey Nations Championships in Manchester, August 2007It’s also your chance to get experience and add to your volunteering CV before 2012.  There are lots of roles available in 12 different areas of the event delivery.  Follow the link to see the positions we are seeking to recruit, an outline of the roles, any essential skills and the likely time commitment required.  There are roles that do not require either knowledge of hockey or of the Nottingham area.

We have a track record of providing a great volunteering experience, including our highly acclaimed volunteering programme at the EuroHockey Nations Championships in Manchester in 2007.

To quote Vicky Wright (20), one of the EuroCrew volunteers, “I am really enjoying myself, having a fab time and I would recommend volunteering to anybody.  I wanna carry on doing more volunteering after this!”

Let's hope that you enjoy your time on the Champion Crew as much as Vicky enjoyed her EuroCrew experience.
